Vanessa Tamayo has spent the last decade designing for Soolip Paperie & Press in Los Angeles. She has worked in various capacities, including serving as Vice President of Retail- overseeing buying and merchandising of all stores including Soolip Melrose, Soolip at Gumps San Francisco, Soolip Bungalow for the home, and pop-up boutiques at Ron Herman Melrose, and The Peninsula Beverly Hills. Vanessa also launched Soolip’s business-to-business division, designing luxury event collateral, gift-wrap, and gifts for events nationwide. She served as lead designer on the team that designed the look and feel of the Lexus LS 460 launch parties at all US Lexus dealerships, as well as designed in-store vehicle displays for Lexus at Neiman Marcus. Other notable projects include event collateral for the Aspen Food and Wine Festival, Pebble Beach Food and Wine, Le Paulee de New York, Auction Napa Valley, and the Lexus LFA Supercar launch parties in major US markets. In 2010 Vanessa project styled THE ART OF THE GIFT by Wanda Wen, published by Potter Craft/Random House. That same year, her Sonoma wedding was featured in the Spring issue of Martha Stewart Weddings. Her most prized possessions are handwritten letters from her husband, and notes in her grandmother’s perfect cursive.
